En el presente artículo mostramos una serie de reflexiones acerca de los espacios suburbanos. Se analizan desde un punto de vista genealógico-hemenéutico-arqueológico las fuentes literarias y epigráficas que emplean vocablos derivados de la locución latina sub urbe, con la intención de ver el significado, las características y la evolución de dichos términos.
