El motivo de esta investigación es el análisis del papel que desempeñó la mujer española en los Juegos Olímpicos que se desarrollaron durante la época Franquista y la importancia que asumió el deporte en la vida de las mujeres de ese periodo. Esta etapa se caracterizó por una fuerte intervención del Régimen en las actividades físicas y deportivas que realizaban las mujeres españolas, especialmente controladas por la Sección Femenina y centradas en el hecho de que la mujer solo debía practicar determinados deportes que no atentasen el pudor y la moral católica; así también cómo se debían de practicar esos deportes e incluso cómo debían vestirse para la práctica deportiva.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------The purpose of this research is to analyze the role played by the Spanish woman in the Olympic Games which took place were developed during Franco¿s dictatorship and the importance of sport in the lives of women of that period of history. This stage was characterized by a strong intervention of the Regime in the physical education and sports activities carried out by women, especially oversight by the Women's Section and focused on the fact that women had only to do certain sports that did not hinder "modesty" and Catholic morality; controlling also how these sports had to be practiced and even how they had to dress to do them.
