En el arte rupestre del Perú abunda el motivo de la fauna silvestre y domesticada, siendo entre los mamíferos los camélidos con sus cuatro especies (Lama guanicoe, Vicugna vicugna, Lama pacos y Lama glama) los animales más frecuentes, tanto en pinturas rupestres como en petroglifos, Otros mamíferos grandes, que encontramos en paneles rupestres, también del Orden de los Artiodáctilos, son los cérvidos que representan el objeto de este artículo que se encuentra dividido en dos partes.
