Se presenta aqu ́ı el caso de la Quebrada de Humahuaca, declarada Patrimonio Mundial en 2003 por UNESCO como Paisaje Cultural Continuo. El foco de este artículo está puesto en los aportes que la evidencia rupestre, sumada a la evidencia arqueológica general conocida para el área, pueden brindar para abordar el estudio de la trayectoria temporal de sociedades humanas en este lugar particular.
