Civil Baroque Architecture in Rural Areas in Low Extremadura
Authors: Cambero Santano, Francisco Javier;

Abstract

Currently, and overcome the traditional consideration of the popular edilicia in attention, only, to its plastic and picturesque values, the importance that the baroque vernacular civil buildings of Baja Extremadura shelters, from the historical, anthropological and cultural point of view, are being more and more taken into account in it study. The aim of this work lies in the need to value, through heritage interpretation, the baroque civil architecture of urban palaces and ancestral homes of many rural populations of low Extremadura, specifically those of the Commonwealth of the Campiña Sur, those that the highway N - 432 runs, so that later they are assumed like the most significant formal expression of a town and as testimony of the historical happening by means of tourist strategies.
