La pervivencia del componente aborigen en la cultura cubana se puede ob- servar desde múltiples aristas. Muchas veces no se tiene plena conciencia de su influencia tanto directa como indirecta. Es por eso que para comprender lo que hoy en día es la cubanidad, debemos conocer mucho más a los primeros hombres y mujeres que habitaron la isla, entenderlos y hacer valer la herencia en los actuales cubanos. De esta forma, el artículo pretende demostrar con hechos su presencia, capacidad de adaptación, resistencia, mecanismos de integración, aportes y legado. The survival of the aboriginal component in cuban culture can be observed from multiple angles. Many times you are not fully aware of its influence, both direct and indirect. That is why in order to understand what cubanity is today, we must know much more about the first men and women who inhabited the island, understand them and assert their heritage in today s cubans.
