Abstract

Begriffe und Merkmale der Stadt werden unter verschiedenen Betrachtungsperspektiven untersucht und erläutert - im allgemeinen Sprachgebrauch und in der interdisziplinären Stadtforschung. Die einfachen oder auch komplexen, eher gesellschafts- und/oder raumbezogenen Stadtbegriffe, insbesondere seitens der Stadtgeographie, ermöglichen einen facettenreichen Zugang zum Thema Stadt mit Verweisen auf speziellere Aspekte im Rahmen des Handwörterbuchs der Stadt- und Raumentwicklung.
