Abstract

Geoinformationen beschreiben Objekte der realen Welt, die in Geoinformationssystemen (GIS) verarbeitet werden. Gängige Geoobjekte in der Stadt- und Raumentwicklung sind beispielsweise Gebäude, Parzelle, Baublock, Stadtquartier. Anwendung finden GIS u. a. in Planungsbüros und Planungsämtern sowie bei Standortentscheidungen für Infrastrukturen oder Unternehmen.
