The microcensus (into which the EU labour force survey was integrated), the Community statistics on income and living conditions, and the survey on the use of information and communication technologies in households and by individuals have all been carried out separately. Merging these three household surveys into one joint survey from reporting year 2020 requires harmonization to ensure coherent reporting. This paper describes the changes to be made to the definitions relating to households.
