Typenbildung multilokalen Wohnens

Authors: Duchêne-Lacroix, Cédric;

Typenbildung multilokalen Wohnens

Abstract

Multilocal living takes on various forms and is characterised by various occasions, purposes and temporalities. The article serves as a guide between different categorisation patterns with regard to spatial planning requirements. Identifying types necessarily involves finding a way between contextual adaptation and comparability. It depends on the goal at hand, which must be explicitly described. Certain basic elements for identifying types must be considered: above all the (a)symmetry between the residences and between the lifestyles here and there of household members; rhythms and time spans; local activities; motives (always plural); ownership and housing conditions; characteristics of the places of residence (always plural), e. g. locational offers; use of the infrastructure; and profiles of multi- and mono-local inhabitants.
