Is the Andean economic rationality different to the rationality of the conventional economic model? This is the question that motivated this research work. To carry out this research we start reviewing the literature on the subject, which gave us certain guidelines that the behavior of the economic agents is different in correspondence to their cultural adherence; however, the empirical corroboration based on the household survey has not validated this hypothesis.
