Abstract

Dieser Vortrag skizziert die Kernbotschaft des politischen Liberalismus: dass die moderne (Welt-)Gesellschaft nicht durch einen Wertekonsens, sondern durch einen Regelkonsens zusammengehalten wird. Diese theoretische Idee wird durch zahlreiche Beispiele illustriert, die ihre Praxisrelevanz vor Augen führen.

This speech sketches the core idea of political liberalismus : that modern (global) society does not rest on a value consensus but instead on a rule consensus. This theoretical idea is illustrated with numerous examples which underline its practical relevance.
