Análise da deformação da zona de cisalhamento Porto-Tomar na transversal de Oliveira de Azeméis

Abstract

O Bordo ocidental do Maciço Hespérico corresponde a uma zona de falha muito importante, com uma evolução complexa do Carbónico ao Quaternário. Na transversal de Oliveira de Azeméis a falha traduz-se por uma zona de cisalhamento com direcção N-S e 3,5 a 4 Km de largura. Afecta granitos sintectónicos com idades isotópicas de 300 milhões de anos. A xistosidade e foliação, subvertical é devido a actuação de segunda fase de dobramento Varisco e a sua geometria sigmóide mostra que o cisalhamento jogou principalmente como desligamento direito. Os perfis de deformação através da zona de cisalhamento permitiram o cálculo de gama entre 28 e 33, correspondente a um deslocamento dúctil de 60 a 80 Km. Isto sugere que as rochas de alto grau de metamorfismo regional da região de Oliveira de Azeméis poderiam ser a extensão ocidental da Faixa Blastomilonítica de Cordova-Badajoz-Tomar, com um deslocamento de cerca de 100 Km. O significado geodinâmico desta faixa de cizalhamento é referido no contexto do arco ibero-armoricano.
