Um Pedaço de tempo na alimentação

Abstract

O barro, como matéria prima, arrasta consigo pedaços da história da nossa identidade individual e coletiva. As principais regras de comportamento foram estabelecidas no seio da família, na nossa primeira infância, e muitas delas, se não mesmo as principais, adquirimo-las à mesa, partilhando a refeição com os outros membro da família. Com aquele vêm os cheiros, as cores, os aromas que passaram a reconfortar-nos por nos transportarem a outros tempos, aos tempos do afeto e da alegria da infância. Alfredo Saramago pesquisou a gastronomia das principais regiões de Portugal e deixou indicações sobre a importância da história da alimentação para a construção do nosso percurso identitário, enquanto povo, apesar de todas as vicissitudes vividas no encontro quem nos visitou, aqui se instalou ou mesmo invadiu pela força. A autora deste trabalho escolheu as suas raízes culturais, transmontanas e minhotas, e outra que muito admira pelo trabalho dos seus oleiros, o Alentejo, como fonte de busca e impulso para a criação de objetos de cerâmica utilitária que sendo um apelo à memória possam servir para o regresso do prazer em cozinhar, estar à mesa e partilhar saberes, afetos e sabores, adaptados ao viver atual.
