O Relatório Final de Estágio Curricular apresenta uma reconstrução do trabalho desenvolvido nas Clínicas Leite do Parque das Nações, em Lisboa. Um estágio observacional na área de exames complementares de diagnóstico, salientando a importância da teoria e da prática em contexto laboral. No que respeita à estrutura do relatório, este inclui, de forma sequencial, a caracterização da instituição, a organização do estágio, a fundamentação teórica e por fim, a apresentação do caso clínico. A análise do caso clínico contempla as fases de Observação, Avaliação e Intervenção que integram o primeiro contacto com o paciente, a realização da anamnese, realização do diagnóstico, plano de tratamento e outras possibilidades de intervenção na problemática. Relativamente à primeira fase, fase de observação, serão descritos os motivos da visita do paciente à Clínica, os sintomas e sinais associados e as questões relevantes para o desenvolvimento do caso, desde os antecedentes sistémicos e oftalmológicos até aos antecedentes familiares. A fase da avaliação corresponde a um trabalho realizado de forma cooperativa entre ortoptistas e médico, na qual foram realizados exames complementares de despiste patológico através de técnicas avaliativas aplicadas pela coorientadora. Os resultados obtidos nos exames serão posteriormente analisados pelo Sr. Prof. Eugénio Leite, resultando, por fim, num diagnóstico. Relativamente à última fase, será apresentado o tratamento elaborado e o seu seguimento, no entanto apresentar-se-á também as possíveis formas de intervenção. O relatório culmina numa reflexão pessoal acerca da experiência e conhecimentos adquiridos durante o período de estágio.

The final training report presents the developed work at Clínicas Leite, Parque das Nações, Lisbon. It was an assisted training on the diagnosis complementary exames domain, emphasising the theory and practice in a working context. Concerning the report’s structure, it includes not only the institution’s characterization and the interniship’s organization but also the theoretical grounds and the presentation of the clinical case. Moreover, the analysis of the clinical case contains the observation, evaluation and intervention phases that compose the first contact with the patient, the execution of the anamnesis and diagnosis, the treatment plan and finally, other possibilities for the problem intervention. The first phase, called the observation phase, will describe the causes of the patient’s visit to the clinic, the symptoms and associated signs, and the relevant questions for the development of the case (from the general and eye health to the family’s health). The evaluation phase is achieved with a cooperative work between Orthoptists and doctors, where complementary exams of pathological screening through evaluative techniques applied by the co-supervisor has been done. The exams results will be later analyzed by Sr. Prof. Eugénio Leite, resulting in a final diagnosis. The last phase will present the elaborated treatment and its follow-up. However it will also present all the possible forms of intervention. To conclude, this report ends in a personal reflection about the experience and achieved knowledge during the internship.
