Abstract

Introdução: A colecistectomia laparoscópica é a técnica mais utilizada no tratamento da patologia vesicular. Este procedimento é seguro e muito vantajoso na relação custo/efectividade em pacientes seleccionados. Estima-se que actualmente 90% das colecistectomias sejam realizadas pela técnica laparoscópica. Método: Efectuou-se uma análise retrospectiva dos protocolos de 1160 pacientes submetidos a colecistectomia laparoscópica no Hospital Sousa Martins (Guarda) no período de 1 de Abril de 1995 a 31 de Dezembro de 2007. Objectivos: Procurou-se valorizar a colecistectomia laparoscópica em termos de indicações, morbilidade e mortalidade comparando a série do Hospital Sousa Martins com três grandes séries de colecistectomia laparoscópica (Nacional, Europeia e Americana). Resultados: Obteve-se uma taxa de conversão para colecistectomia laparotómica de 7,1 %, sendo a dificuldade na identificação do triângulo de Calot a causa mais relevante. A morbilidade major foi de 2,3 %, sendo as lesões iatrogénicas da via biliar principal, a causa principal. Conclusão: Estes resultados acompanham os seus congéneres a nível nacional e no estrangeiro.
