Intellectual capital is knowledge, applied experience, organizational technology, customer relationships and professional skills that market-oriented confer competitive ability to the football club. This research aims to understand the extent to which intellectual capital influences the brand value. With this general purpose, various indicators, representative of each of the types of capital were taken into consideration, namely, human capital, organizational capital and relational capital, which form the intellectual capital and influence the brand value. The data collected are based on a sample of thirty-five clubs in English football, who played the major football leagues of England, notably, Premier, First Division and Second Division, in the period between 1992 and 2010. In this research the brand value is represented by incomplete proxy relating to revenue clubs. The results obtained reveal that the assets associated with the intellectual capital of football clubs are, in general, when properly managed, a generating tool for the brand value of the club. Thus, the position occupied in the league, salaries for human resources and gross profit of football clubs positively influence revenues. In turn, it appears that the long-term debt negatively influences the generation of revenue.
