A análise da eficiência hospitalar Hospitais EPE

Abstract

This study analyzes the efficiency of hospitals - Company by DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) and aims to realize efficiency levels of such organizations while identifying what factors underlie this efficiency / inefficiency. The analysis of efficiency based on DEA showed that most hospitals - Company (EPE) is not efficient, which means that the hospital management cannot balance more effectively the revenues and expenses. In the study by year, there is an average of five efficient hospitals in a universe of 35, the DEA model - CRS. In DEA - VRS, there is a small improvement, and 10 hospitals per year on average, are effective. Through this analysis we can see that hospital managers will have a big challenge ahead, because it is they who will have to manage procedures in order to reduce costs and inefficiency.
