Ecoturismo e Reabilitação no espaço rural

Abstract

Portugal is a country that sells the image of beach and sea tourism where exploits his extensive coast line to attract tourists. Thanks to this factor what we have witnessed is a big development at the level of the cities located near the coast, however has caused an increasing abandonement of the rural áreas. This problematic is clearly visible when w ego through the traditional villages of Portugal which have increasingly signs of degradation and this shows in the large number of buidings in ruins that we found in these spaces. In this way this thesis aims to study the rehabilitation of a building and the requalification of a rural área taking into account the concepts of Ecotourism. The study relies primarily on a bibliographic research of the concepts related to Ecotourism, Rehabilitation and Sustainability. For the development of the proposal, the modular coordination was adopted as a systematic equation of spaces. This study resulted in a proposal for na Eco Hotel for a rural área located in the municipality of Esposende, which aims to promote sustainable practices related to Ecotourism.
