Abstract

Nowadays the Internet brought us innumerous potentialities that became more and more important in the life of the human being, going with him everywhere, connecting him, giving him the possibility of contact and interaction with others, giving him the power of decision. And because the human being is a consumer, the Internet as also approach him to the commerce, that as widely expanded over the Internet for a global perspective in which any product or services are available. From this base of ideas, the theoretical fitting of this work is to get to know and understand the e-commerce and all of is potentialities and elements, on the Visual Merchandising of the products and the website and is impact on the sales incoming. On the interaction with the consumer in the different types of e-commerce, as well as the way how fashion evolves and presents itself to the consumer over the Internet and what are is main attributes, hypothesis and possibilities of development online. The consumer behavior and the integrating parts of the e-commerce are the most valuable elements of this investigation, because on them is the key for the sales of fashion products and so it has been presented a survey and analyzed several e-commerce websites, with different fashion products, to obtain the elements that the consumer understands as being essentials for the success of the e-commerce and what are the potentialities presented on the websites. After this stage the results will be confronted with the highlights and problems of each website in agreement with the consumer preferences.

Presentemente a Internet e as suas possibilidades tornam-se elementos cada vez mais preciosos no dia-a-dia do indivíduo, acompanhando-o e ligando-o, facilitando-lhe a interacção, dando-lhe o poder da decisão. Sendo o ser humano, um ser consumista, a Internet aproxima-o também ao comércio, que se expande largamente por este meio e que o aproxima de uma perspectiva global em que qualquer produto ou serviço estão ao seu alcance e dispor. Nesse sentido o enquadramento teórico visa entender e analisar o e-commerce e todas as suas potencialidades e elementos, passando pelo Visual Merchandising dos produtos e site e do impacto deste nas forças de venda e interacção com o consumidor, nos diferentes tipos de comércio, no qual o e-commerce é ramificado, bem como, a forma como a moda se expande e se dá a conhecer por este meio, quais os seus principais atributos e quais as hipóteses e possibilidades de desenvolvimento desta. O comportamento do consumidor e os elementos do e-commerce serão os pontos tidos em maior consideração nesta investigação, uma vez que são estes que possibilitam a compra e venda dos produtos de moda online e nesse sentido foi efectuado um inquérito e a análise de diversos sites de diferentes produtos de moda, a fim de obter quais os elementos que o consumidor considera fulcrais no e-commerce e quais as potencialidades apresentadas nos sites, contrapondo posteriormente estes resultados, apresentando as mais-valias e problemas identificados em cada um dos sites de acordo com as preferências do consumidor.
