Compra vs. Aluguer

Abstract

In a consumer society, where at every moment of the day we are bombarded with ads about products and services, a concern for the planet and the search for path to a sustainable world begins to grow. More and more we can see open discussions related to the need of, not only sustainable production processes, but also but also a conscious and responsible consumption in the fashion segment. With these discussions, new business models begin to appear, such as secondhand clothing or the rental of clothes instead of buying them. The interest in this theme emerged in a personal way, by learning about the big problem of the fashion industry impact in the environment and by understanding that this topic is rarely talked about in people's daily lives. After an exploratory research, based on the theoretical analysis of authors who support this theme, as well as concepts about branding, branding and visual language, this paper this work aims to create and develop an occasion clothing brand for rental called Dress and Tell. For this purpose, four case studies and a survey were also developed to explore the business viability and understand the people's openness to it.
