Esta dissertação, gira em torno de uma investigação, caracterização, conceptualização e reflexão sobre o populismo. A introdução incide sobre a apresentação do tema onde é realizada uma justificação, definição do objecto, referência às fontes e plano do trabalho. Na definição Populismo, considerou-se a definição mínima do conceito de Populismo e os principais pontos de vista de autores significativos e conceituados teóricos políticos. O impacto do Populismo na atualidade e as suas consequências no discurso político e na atualidade complementa o capítulo. De modo a expor várias formas de Populismo quer à esquerda, quer à direita, são apresentados quatro casos representativos de Populismo no mundo: Donald Trump; Marine Le Pen; Matteu Salvini; e o Syriza. A conclusão para além de refletir sobre todas as temáticas apresentadas, também insere as expetativas para o Populismo no futuro.

This dissertation revolves around an investigation, characterization, conceptualization and reflection on populism. The introduction focuses on the presentation of the theme, where a justification, definition of the object, reference to sources and a work plan is made. In the definition of Populism, the minimum definition of the concept of Populism and the main points of view of significant authors and renowned polítical theorists were considered. The impact of populism today and its consequences on political discourse complements the chapter. In order to expose various forms of populism both on the left and on the right, four representative cases of populism in the world are presented: Donald Trump; Marine Le Pen; Matteu Salvini; and Syriza. The conclusion, in addition to reflecting on all the themes presented, also includes expectations for populism in the future.
