Abstract

This study analyzed and identified, based primarily on individual experiences and insights gained through case studies, which were the main driving factors that influenced the emergence of projects of alternative journalism media vehicles in the recent history of Brazilian digital press, specifically , designed by women journalists. To contextualize the importance of the narrative that encompassed the concepts of traditional journalism to entrepreneurship, a broad review of the literature that began began on mainstream journalism, then with the conceptualization of the role of women in journalism, followed by the heterogeneous characterization of alternative journalism. , the changes brought by digital journalism to entrepreneurship and its preponderant characteristics to the theme that was proposed in this dissertation. An investigation was carried out through case studies, the trajectory, structure, target audience, revenue forms, motivational factors, personal perceptions about the professional and economic scenario. An extensive collection of data from secondary sources was also performed. It was possible to corroborate with the indication that the feminine motivation in the act of undertaking in alternative journalism media arose - in the cases presented in this paper - by the identification of the business opportunity, however it is noteworthy that part of the cases showed traces of simultaneous motivation of aspects arising from the perception of an opportunity and points linked to undertake by necessity
