The present proposal disclosed in this project brings together the design, craftsmanship and sustainability. It is based on the creation of a home textile capsule collection, aimed at the development of three tapestry articles that value sustainable materials and innovative techniques of greater added value. The "Maria" Project presents features and creative manipulations that reflect and emphasize the dexterity of craftsmanship allied to values and design tools. The theoretical framework of this project in these domains is justified by the bibliographic review, which serves as support for the practical phase, in order to expose concepts such as crafts, craftsman, artisan production, design and sustainability. The project also focuses on the preservation and sustainability of the natural fiber potential of wool and the use of traditional and handcrafted techniques.

A presente proposta divulgada neste projeto aproxima o design, o artesanato e a sustentabilidade. Assenta na criação de uma coleção cápsula têxtil-lar, que visa o desenvolvimento de três artigos de tapeçaria que valorizam materiais sustentáveis e técnicas inovadoras de maior valor acrescentado. O projeto “a maria” apresenta características e manipulações criativas que refletem e enfatizam a destreza do artesanato aliadas a valores e ferramentas de design. O enquadramento teórico deste projeto nestes domínios é justificado pela revisão bibliográfica, o que serve de suporte para a fase prática, de forma a expor conceitos como artesanato, artesão, produção artesanal, design e sustentabilidade. O projeto foca ainda na preservação e sustentabilidade do potencial da fibra natural da lã e o uso de técnicas tradicionais e artesanais.
