Flexibilidade na habitação

Abstract

In this Final Master’s Project, it is intended to study the domestic interior, given the evolution of society, considering the social, labor, and technological transformations, that it’s being subjected to. Considering that the currently proposed housing models are no longer compatible with the necessities and aspirations the current society demands, it becomes, therefore, important to think about how it is possible to (re)inhabit the house, that is, rethink its internal configuration, so that it can follow the changes in its habitants’ lives. In the context of this problematization, the idea of flexibilization of inhabiting space arises, as a possible response to such changes; in this regard, concept such as flexibility and adaptability are deepened. With this Project, it is intended to develop a model type that allows the application of flexibility strategies. For that, a bibliographic review was used on the mentioned themes, as well as the reading and analysis of a set of case studies. In a first phase, it is proposed ways to prepare the housing space so that it can be more flexible and adaptable; in a second phase, the aggregation of the model type in the intervention site that is proposed, considering two interpretations: one in the family housing proposal, the other in the housing proposal for students. In addition to the housing complex that the aggregation will generate, it was important to establish a system of collective spaces that consolidates and articulates the block with the city, promoting quality public spaces, reflecting on the concepts of public spaces, collective spaces and private spaces, and on their spatial and environmental qualifications.
