A presente dissertação tem por objetivo analisar a construção e efetivação dos Direitos Humanos das Mulheres por meio da Comissão sobre o Estatuto da Mulher (CSW, em inglês) vinculada ao Conselho Econômico e Social da Organização das Nações Unidas narrando os fatos históricos que originaram o movimento e a busca pelos direitos delas a partir da criação da CSW em 1946 até os dias atuais. A motivação do tema surgiu por causa dos históricos de lutas femininas em busca de seus direitos e por motivos pessoais, por mais que estejamos protegidas expressamente pelos documentos de proteção dos Direitos Humanos, ainda há, na realidade, incontáveis ocorrências de violações de direitos das mulheres. A Comissão sobre o Estatuto da Mulher vem trabalhando na elaboração das normas internacionais colaborando com a mudança de status da mulher na sociedade e na aplicação e implementação destes direitos por parte dos Estados-membros signatários e isto significa setenta e sete anos de atividade da CSW voltados exclusivamente para a igualdade de gênero e o empoderamento das mulheres e no combate contra todas as formas de violência contra as mulheres.

The objective of this study is to analyze the construction and implementation of the Women’s Human Rights through the Commission on the Status of Women - CSW - linked to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations Organization, narrating the historical facts that originated the movement and the search for their rights from the creation of CSW in 1946 to the present day. The motivation for the theme arose because of the history of women's struggles in search of their rights, and for personal reasons, and even though we are expressly protected by Human Rights protection documents, there are still countless occurrences of violations of rights of the women. The Commission on the Status of Women has been working on the elaboration of international law collaborating with the change in the status of women in society and on the application and implementation of these rights by the signatory Member States and it means seventyseven years of CSW activity focused on exclusively for gender equality and the empowerment of women and in combating all forms of violence against women.
