Research shows that the world is going through a decisive phase due to climate change and, to overcome this critical phase, it is necessary to finance the change, through adaptation and mitigation measures. However, it is essential to adapt finances to the challenges we are experiencing, in order to develop significant financial resources. In this way, the research focuses on the study of climate finance as the necessary step to tackle climate change; through the analysis of the institutions involved, the financial instruments used, and the limitations encountered.
