Abstract

O presente Projeto Final de Mestrado visa diminuir a fragmentação espacial, as descontinuidades e as formas de rotura decorrentes da presença de grandes infraestruturas e do suporte orográfico. De forma a evitar a fragmentação do território, as infraestruturas, elementos cruciais para o bom funcionamento da cidade, devem ser enquadradas como um elemento agregador do território de forma a contribuir para a relação entre as diversas partes de uma cidade. Este projeto tem ainda o objetivo de amenizar as carências urbanas identificadas, projetando espaços multifuncionais, unificadores do território – pla t a f o r m a s h a bit a d a s - promovendo ligações entre os aglomerados urbanos de Massamá e São Marcos, transformando um espaço caracterizado por formas de fragmentação e descontinuidade num sistema de espaço público contínuo, articulado e multifuncional.

ABSTRACT: This Master's Final Project aims to reduce spatial fragmentation, discontinuities and forms of rupture due to the presence of large infrastructures and orographic support. In order to avoid territorial fragmentation, the infrastructures, which are crucial for the proper functioning of the city, should be framed as an aggregating element of the territory in order to contribute to the relationship between the various parts of a city. This project also aims to ease the identified urban needs by designing multifunctional spaces, unifying the territory - inhabited platforms - promoting links between the urban agglomerations of Massamá and São Marcos, transforming a space characterized by forms of fragmentation and discontinuity into a system of continuous, articulated and multifunctional public space.
