Nowadays, women have much more freedom to practice a sport, being football a great example of that. For this reason, women are increasingly practicing federated sport being encouraged by their families and friends. Sport is no longer seen as something that only men can practice, and women now begin to have their own prominence in this world. Sporting Clube Portugal is a renowned and eclectic sports club that invests on the formation of athletes. Therefore, the club also wanted to enter the world of women's football with the aim of, in short-term, winning titles, and in the long run, to train highly qualified athletes. As a result of that wish, in 2016, the team worked really hard and achieved theirs goals by becaming champion in the senior and junior levels in its first year of competition. For this reason, in the scope of the Master in Sports Management of the Faculty of Human Motricity, the choice of performing the internship in the SCP, being the technical secretary of the teams of the women's football training, was very beneficial and enriching for my professional and personal development as a student of sports management, allowing me to acquire new management skills and more knowledge concerning football, more specifically, women's football. Finally, this report aimed to reflect on the growth of women's football in the world and in Portugal, to present the work that Sporting CP has done to help in the growth of the modality and the functions and activities carried out during the internship.

Atualmente as mulheres possuem uma maior liberdade para a prática do desporto, como é o exemplo do futebol. Por este motivo, são cada vez mais as mulheres a praticar desporto federado sendo incentivadas por famílias e amigos. O desporto deixou de ser visto como algo que só os homens pudessem praticar, e as mulheres começaram a ter o seu próprio destaque no mundo do desporto. O Sporting Clube Portugal sendo um clube desportivo de renome e eclético, que aposta na formação de atletas, quis também, entrar no mundo do futebol feminino com o objetivo de, a curto prazo, ganhar títulos e de, a longo prazo, formar atletas de grande qualidade. Em 2016, apostou forte e sagrou-se campeão nos escalões seniores, juniores e juvenis logo no primeiro ano. Desta forma, a escolha de realizar o estágio no SCP, no âmbito do Mestrado em Gestão do Desporto da Faculdade de Motricidade Humana, com a função de secretária técnica das equipas da formação do futebol feminino, concretizou-se em algo benéfico para o desenvolvimento profissional e pessoal enquanto aluna de gestão do desporto. O estágio permitiu adquirir novas competências e novos conhecimentos da área do futebol, mais especificamente do futebol feminino. Finalmente, o presente relatório pretendeu refletir sobre o crescimento do futebol feminino mundo e em Portugal, apresentar o trabalho que o Sporting CP tem feito para ajudar no crescimento da modalidade e as funções e atividades realizadas durante o estágio.
