Bairro das Ingombotas, em Luanda

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This essay is based on the analysis of an African neighborhood, located in Luanda (Angola). This analysis is related to the need to preserve the architectural and urbanistic identity of a region, documenting and cataloging the elements that allow us to recognize its existence in historical moments of the city, chronologically referencing it in time. The objective of this work is, and in a very modest way, to understand and alert the constant demolition of emblematic buildings that once characterized the landscape of the city and consequent transformation, but which gradually disappear from the real plan due to real estate speculation and the emerging need to give the city a new layer, associated with a modern and dynamic image.
