Abstract

A presente investigação trata da criação de um website com uma ferramenta para personalização de equipamentos de lacrosse para a marca ATIVO, que atua no sector do design e fabrico de equipamentos desportivos de lacrosse. O problema identificado para o desenvolvimento do projeto foi a dificuldade que os clientes da ATIVO têm em poder obter o tipo de equipamento que desejam. Seja pela dificuldade que têm em expressar as suas necessidades ao designer da marca, ou pela incapacidade do designer de compreender o que o cliente pretende, a solução encontrada para resolver o problema foi a criação de uma ferramenta online de personalização dos equipamentos de lacrosse. O objetivo passou por tornar mais eficiente a comunicação entre o utilizador e o designer, já que o utilizador expressará de maneira gráfica as suas necessidades ao designer, através da ferramenta de personalização. Posteriormente são apresentadas propostas ao utilizador, que vão mais ao encontro das suas necessidades. Foi usada uma metodologia de natureza mista, intervencionista e não intervencionista de base qualitativa, junto de um grupo de utilizadores, de forma a que fosse possível criar um protótipo aproximado, que responda às expetativas e necessidades dos clientes e designers da ATIVO. Deste modo, espera-se que o website seja por si só uma ferramenta facilitadora da comunicação bidirecional entre a marca e o utilizador, assente nas boas práticas do design de interação e web design, centradas na experiência e necessidades do utilizador.

ABSTRACT: The main purpose of this work was to provide ATIVO sportswear brand, which operates in the field of design and manufacture of lacrosse sports equipment, with a website that includes a personalization tool that allows its users to personalize lacrosse uniforms. The problem identified for project development was the difficulty ATIVO’s clients have in being able to transmit the type of design they wish for their uniforms. Either being the difficulty users have in expressing their needs to designers, or because of designer inability to fully understand client’s wishes, the solution found to solve these problems was creation of an online personalization tool for lacrosse uniforms. The goal was to make communication between user and designer more efficient, since user will graphically express his needs to the designer, through the personalization tool. Posteriorly proposals will be presented to users, correctly meeting their needs. A methodology of mixed, interventionist and non-interventionist qualitative nature was used with a group of users, to be possible, creation of an approximate prototype that responds to expectations and needs from both users and designers of ATIVO. This way, it is expected that the website is a facilitating tool for bidirectional communication between brand and user, through its good practices applied to interaction design, and web design, always focused on user experience and needs.
