(Re)habitar a duna

O reposicionamento do bairro “Índios da Meia Praia”

(Re)habitar a duna

Abstract

The present work intends to analyze a strategy of reactivation and construction in a dune cord, which is understood as being a sensitive territory and of great ecological value. The existing occupation in Meia Praia, because of the SAAL intervention, is subject to analysis for a potential repositioning that grants full rights to the city to its residents, by bringing it closer to the city of Lagos and adjacent urbanizations. This proposed urban connection preserves the identity of both locations and respects the occupation norms of this type of territory, seeking to highlight the existing intervention as a situation of segregated affordable housing, reaffirming the need for an architectural and sustainable look at a new way to inhabit the dune.
