A transformação digital nas micro e pequenas empresas

Abstract

A transformação digital tornou-se essencial para a competitividade e sustentabilidade das empresas, representando um desafio particular para as micro e pequenas organizações. Estas enfrentam limitações de recursos e dificuldades em acompanhar o ritmo das inovações tecnológicas, o que exige uma compreensão mais profunda sobre o seu nível de maturidade digital. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar o estado da transformação digital nas micro e pequenas empresas da região de Tomar e compreender o modo como estas têm integrado tecnologias e práticas digitais nas suas operações. A sua relevância assenta na capacidade de oferecer uma visão sobre os desafios e oportunidades que a transformação digital representa para o tecido empresarial local, contribuindo para o avanço do conhecimento académico e para o desenvolvimento de estratégias de apoio às empresas. A investigação seguiu uma metodologia quantitativa, com a aplicação de um questionário estruturado a 120 empresas da região. O instrumento baseou-se no modelo de maturidade da transformação digital proposto por Sukrat e Leeraphong (2024), tendo sido complementado com três secções adicionais. Os resultados revelaram um nível intermédio-superior de maturidade digital (M = 3,52), com as microempresas ligeiramente acima das pequenas (M = 3,6 e M = 2,98, respetivamente). Verificou-se ainda uma baixa adesão aos programas de apoio, motivada sobretudo pela falta de conhecimento (76,7%) e pela escassez de tempo (65,8%). Estes dados reforçam a necessidade de políticas públicas mais acessíveis e orientadas à capacitação empresarial. Futuras investigações poderão analisar o impacto dessas medidas e comparar a maturidade digital entre diferentes regiões do país.
