Relação creche – família

Abstract

This report is the result of an action research project developed during an internship at a daycare center, as part of a Master's degree in Preschool Education. The research focused on the family and its participation in daycare, with the following question as its starting point: “How can I promote greater cooperation between daycare and the family?” With 2-year-old children as collaborators, the following objectives were defined: to understand the relationship between the daycare center and families; to identify the strategies used by the educational team to promote this cooperation; to implement actions that favor family involvement; to understand families' perceptions of their participation; and to evaluate the educator's view of the impact of this collaboration. The pedagogical intervention outlined from the context assessment sought to systematically promote family involvement in the educational process. Participant observation and interviews were used as data collection techniques, supported by field notes and interview guides for families. The results show that cooperation between the daycare center and the family must be continuous and supported by strategies appropriate to the needs of the group. This approach strengthens bonds of trust and affection, contributing significantly to the children's overall development.
