Motivação na Polícia de Segurança Pública: desafios de um sistema de recompensas póstero

Abstract

As organizações enfrentam atualmente complexos desafios na gestão de pessoas, procurando encontrar práticas eficientes na motivação dos seus trabalhadores. A motivação das pessoas é um processo fundamental e necessário nas organizações bem-sucedidas, permitindo potenciar o seu desempenho, preparando-as para a mudança, inovação, aumento dos parâmetros de qualidade e produtividade, criando uma cultura de comprometimento organizacional com os seus trabalhadores. Os Sistemas de Recompensas facilitam a concretização destes objetivos organizacionais, procuram motivar as pessoas, reter talento, mas também influenciam os processos de agregação de novos trabalhadores, mantendo as organizações dinâmicas e enriquecidas de conhecimento. A Polícia de Segurança Pública não se pode abstrair desta emergente dinâmica organizacional, e este estudo teórico, com base na análise de literatura, procura equacionar sobre o atual sistema de recompensas da Polícia de Segurança Pública. Se pode, ou não, ser entendido como um real fator motivacional, e se está estruturado e preparado para responder à satisfação das necessidades das próximas gerações de polícias. Como resultado, verificou-se que o atual sistema de recompensas da Polícia de Segurança Pública se encontra debilitado, ainda assente numa tradicional visão do trabalhador, que não cumpre a sua principal função motivadora dos polícias, e que necessita de ser repensado, adaptando-se às necessidades das novas gerações, mais exigentes, participativas e competitivas.
