AS VIRTUALIDADES DA EDUCAÇÃO SOCIAL

Abstract

Visamos com este artigo partilhar uma contextualização e fundamentação teórica sobre as virtualidades da educação social, realizada no âmbito de um doutoramento em Equidade e Inovação em Educação, com base numa plêiade autores de referência. Partimos do pressuposto que se poderá contribuir para a (re)construção da identidade profissional do educador social, demonstrando a origem da profissão e as singularidades e/ou especificidades epistemológicas que a diferenciam de outras profissões no âmbito da intervenção social, particularmente a intervenção socioeducativa. Ora, vivendo-se tempos incertos, impõem-se a implicação de todos na procura de respostas aos desafios, decorrentes destas incertezas, justificando, trazer à colação as virtualidades da educação social, enquanto possibilidade de intervenção na (re)construção de uma sociedade melhor.
