Estética orofacial : novas soluções e novas tecnologias

Abstract

A busca por tratamentos estéticos em medicina dentária são frequentemente procurados pelos pacientes para transmitir mudanças positivas ao seu sorriso e um sorriso perfeito se tornou uma questão importante para a autoestima e a autoconfiança das pessoas, de modo que a saúde oral e os aspetos estéticos que envolvem o sorriso ganharam destaque. Com a evolução dos tratamentos estéticos, cresceu a demanda de tratamentos faciais, inclusive os tratamentos dentários que visam melhorias estéticas, contudo, o processo de adequação entre face e sorriso requer que o profissional realize uma análise minuciosa da face. O objetivo deste estudo visa apresentar as proporções dentárias adequadas, uma correta análise facial e as novas soluções e tecnologias para aprimorar a estética orofacial. Assim, a metodologia descritiva qualitativa baseou-se na revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema. Verifica-se a importância da avaliação facial e da proporção entre os componentes do sorriso para uma estética orofacial mais harmónica, além da utilização de radiologia digital, scanners, alinhadores digitais, prototipagem rápida como métodos que tornam o tratamento mais preciso e eficaz. Conclui-se que estes materiais e métodos acompanham o avanço tecnológico e permitem ao profissional definir com maior previsibilidade o tratamento, além de corresponder as expectativas do paciente.
