O mutismo seletivo e a ludoterapia/atividade lúdica

Abstract

O Mutismo Seletivo é uma problemática que envolve principalmente crianças em idade escolar, sendo aqui que mais frequentemente este se manifesta, e que compromete a sua performance nos contextos social e escolar. É um transtorno pouco conhecido e reconhecido o que dificulta não só o diagnóstico mas também a definição de estratégias de tratamento. Neste estudo é feito um trabalho ao nível da revisão da literatura existente no que diz respeito ao Mutismo Seletivo e que inclui o conceito e a sua evolução, a(s) etiologia(s) do problema, prevalência, diagnóstico, prognóstico e tratamento. Paralelamente são perspetivadas algumas hipóteses de tratamento com vista à superação do problema à luz dos conceitos de ludoterapia e atividades lúdicas, e que incluem uma análise dos conceitos de ludoterapia, de atividade lúdica, brincar, brinquedo, brincadeira, ludodiagnóstico, ludoterapia comportamental e atividades a desenvolver dentro e fora da sala de aula. Apresentamos, ainda, os resultados de um estudo exploratório que consistiu na aplicação de um questionário a educadores, professores, psicólogos e terapeutas acerca das temáticas referidas.
