Abstract

Este estudo foi realizado partindo do pressuposto que as recompensas podem influenciar significativamente no aumento da motivação dos elementos policiais na manutenção da disciplina, o que é importante para organizações que se preocupam com comportamentos e desempenhos dos seus funcionários. O objetivo principal da pesquisa é, dentro da área da ética e disciplina policial, encontrar mecanismos legais capazes de incidir sobre o comportamento dos funcionários de uma forma preventiva positiva, fazendo o “caminho” inverso da generalidade da doutrina existente, que trata do poder disciplinar como um poder dever de sancionar os subalternos. Para tal, será realizada uma pesquisa teórica, na busca por conceitos associados ao tema e comparação dos Regulamento Disciplinares da PSP com o da PRM. Da comparação feita entre os dois Regulamento Disciplinares, pretendemos trazer à PRM um valor acrescido, especificamente ao sistema de recompensas decorrentes do poder disciplinar dos superiores hierárquicos da PRM. O resultado deste trabalho revela a importância que as recompensas devem subsumir na PRM, como elemento motivacional e capaz de influenciar positivamente o elemento policial para uma adesão voluntária e consciente da disciplina. Conclui‐se por um futuro esperançoso, onde a Ética e a Deontologia se apresentam como pilares basilares para uma Polícia disciplinada e motivada para o desempenho das suas competências.
