Abstract

O presente trabalho para além de entrar no conceito de violência, a forma como ela é adquirida no processo de socialização, pretende identificar as formas pelas quais a violência no desporto se manifesta como um problema social na sociedade contemporânea. Visa contribuir para a compreensão da violência no desporto, apurar as suas causas e elencar um conjunto de propostas para diminuir o fenómeno da violência associada ao desporto. Fazse também uma abordagem sobre o papel das claques no desencadear dessa mesma violência. Ainda, e conforme será explicado mais adiante, existem autores que afirmam, especificamente, que os indivíduos tendem a ser mais agressivos após observar agressão no mundo do desporto, pelo que os efeitos da observação de hostilidade nas competições desportivas, sobre o espetador, têm uma forte influência na agressividade junto dos mesmos
