Melhorar as competências dos cuidadores informais

Abstract

O cuidar é um conceito essencial ao ser humano, surgindo muitas vezes associado a situações de dependência. Dados estatísticos revelam que o índice de dependência total irá sofrer aumentos drásticos nas próximas décadas. Desta forma, torna-se essencial repensar as estratégias implementadas bem como as políticas de saúde no que diz respeito a quem assume o papel de cuidar do outro, o qual se designa de Cuidador Informal. Este assume um papel preponderante na prestação de cuidados à pessoa dependente e para isso, deve estar apto, encontrando-se capacitado, confortável e seguro no desempenho do seu papel. Foi neste sentido, que a mestranda desenvolveu um projeto de intervenção comunitária com o intuito de otimizar o processo de capacitação dos Cuidadores Informais dos utentes em ECCI da UCC de Vendas Novas
