Mutismo seletivo : um estudo de caso O silêncio nem sempre é de ouro

Abstract

O presente artigo tem como tema o mutismo seletivo, nomeadamente em crianças do 3.º ciclo do ensino básico. O estudo tem como objetivo principal analisar um caso real, visando a aplicação de técnicas cognitivo-comportamentais e respetivas estratégias de intervenção, consideradas mais pertinentes e adequadas ao respetivo caso. Trata-se de um estudo de caso, que conta com a participação de uma aluna de 14 anos, a frequentar o 8.º ano de escolaridade, e de elementos da escola que frequenta. Após a análise do caso, é possível verificar a importância de a escola estar atenta aos seus alunos e desenvolver estratégias que atendam às suas necessidades e, ao mesmo tempo, promovam a inclusão e a participação de todos os alunos da turma e da escola.
