Competências comunicativas e linguísticas de uma criança com trissomia 21

Abstract

Desde o nascimento que o ser humano vive num mundo no qual as competências comunicativas desempenham um papel preponderante para o seu desenvolvimento. Muito cedo, a criança necessita de estar exposta a comportamentos e a interações sociais, verbais e não verbais, cabendo ao adulto a iniciativa da interação, interpretação e resposta às suas atitudes e solicitações. Por conseguinte, a criança torna-se capaz de receber, transformar e transmitir informação através da comunicação. Este projeto foi realizado num contexto no qual existia uma criança de três anos com Trissomia 21 e que apresentava, segundo o relatório consultado, “um atraso do desenvolvimento da linguagem com um maior comprometimento a nível expressivo”. Neste âmbito, a intervenção assumiu um caráter de estudo caso e centrou-se no desenvolvimento das competências linguísticas, aos níveis da compreensão e da expressão, através do Sistema Aumentativo e Alternativo de Comunicação (SAAC) - Sistema Pictográfico para a Comunicação (SPC) – usado em situação de jogo. Foi elaborado um plano de intervenção com o intuito de se aplicar um conjunto de estratégias criativas, apelativas e diversificadas (atividades lúdicas), para desenvolver as competências comunicativas e linguísticas da criança com Trissomia 21. Pôde-se concluir que foi uma ferramenta eficaz para o desenvolvimento das competências comunicativas e linguísticas da criança acima referida, estimulando e motivando-a para a aprendizagem.
