Abstract

O presente relatório, realizado no âmbito do Estágio de Enfermagem de Saúde Mental e Psiquiatria na Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Lisboa (ESEL), pretende dar a conhecer as nossas vivências durante o mesmo, realçando a capacidade de intervir junto de cuidadores familiares (CF) da pessoa com síndrome demencial (PcSD). Este relatório constitui uma oportunidade de desenvolvimento das competências na prestação de cuidados especializados de enfermagem de saúde mental à pessoa e família. O estágio decorreu em dois contextos distintos: numa equipa comunitária e num serviço de internamento, no período de Setembro de 2015 a Fevereiro de 2016. A nossa intervenção incluiu a díade PcSD/CF, em articulação com a equipa de saúde, nos dois contextos. Fizemos uso de modalidades unifamiliares e multicomponentes ou mistas. Enquadramos este projeto numa perspectiva existencial-humanista, com base na Teoria das relações interpessoais de Peplau. Os resultados obtidos evidenciaram satisfação com o papel de cuidador e melhoria das relações interpessoais das díades, através da validação de conhecimentos e competências, diminuindo a sobrecarga percebida e promovendo a saúde mental positiva dos CF.
