Influência da clorexidina na adesão ao esmalte

Abstract

Objectivo: Avaliar se o uso da clorexidina (CHX), como inibidor das metaloproteinases (MPP’s), influencia a adesão ao esmalte. Materiais e Métodos: Vinte dentes terceiros molares humanos hígidos foram distribuídos aleatoriamente em 8 grupos experimentais, de acordo com o sistema adesivo usado, com o substrato utilizado, e contendo ou não, digluconato de CHX a 2%, após aplicação de condicionamento ácido: ABe (All-bond Universal™ sem CHX no Esmalte), ABce (All-bond Universal™ com CHX no Esmalte), OBe (Optibond™ FL sem CHX no Esmalte), OBce (Optibond™ FL com CHX no Esmalte), ABd (All-bond Universal™ sem CHX na Dentina), ABcd (All-bond Universal™ com CHX na Dentina), OBd (Optibond™ FL sem CHX na Dentina) e OBcd (Optibond™ FL com CHX na Dentina). Executaram-se as restaurações com Filtek Z100 (cor A3, 3M ESPE, St Paul, MN, USA), sendo posteriormente armazenadas em água destilada por 24 horas numa estufa a 37ºC. As amostras foram seccionadas nas direcções X e Y de forma a obter palitos com secção transversal de 1±0,3 mm2. Cada palito foi colado com zapit a um jig e submetido a força de tracção numa máquina de testes universal até ocorrer fractura, a uma velocidade de 0,5mm/min. Os resultados foram analisados com o teste ANOVA e posteriormente foi feita a análise das variâncias com o teste post-hoc Tukey e Qui-quadrado para p≤0,05. Resultados: Verificaram-se diferenças significativas entre a resistência adesiva à microtracção entre os grupos estudados, nomeadamente no esmalte entre o grupo ABe (13,88 Mpa) e o grupo ABce (26,69 Mpa), e na dentina entre o grupo OBd (25,02 Mpa) e o grupo OBcd (39,82 Mpa). Conclusão: A CHX altera as forças de resistência adesiva à microtracção no esmalte, aumentando os seus valores de adesão.
