Incapacidade intelectual e aprendizagem da leitura

Abstract

A presente intervenção educativa teve como objetivo desenvolver a capacidade leitora de um aluno com Incapacidade Intelectual nas vertentes da decifração e da compreensão do material escrito utilizando a metodologia de experiências de aprendizagem mediatizada. A intervenção foi realizada ao longo do letivo de 2010/2011. Nas avaliações da capacidade leitora de pré teste e de pós teste utilizaram-se a Prova de Avaliação da Capacidade Leitora DECIFRAR de Salgueiro (2002) e o Teste de Idade de Leitura de Sucena e Castro (2009). Esta intervenção educativa permitiu ter sucessos consideráveis no desenvolvimento da capacidade leitora deste aluno com II. É um processo quase concluído ao nível da decifração da leitura e com significativos progressos ao nível da compreensão da mesma. A capacidade leitora desenvolvida já permite ao aluno utilizar a leitura para se informar, para adquirir e aprofundar conhecimentos e ler para se recrear em momentos de lazer.
