Design de comunicação como ativismo: uma reflexão sobre a sua práxis

Abstract

A presente dissertação via fazer uma reflexão sobre as práticas do design em contexto ativista, explicando a importância do design gráfico ativista numa sociedade, assim como compreender o seu processo de análise e o modo como é aplicado em momentos de resistência e protesto. Com o objetivo principal de entender a sua praxis, foram investigados momentos ativistas dentro do design, percebendo como é que foram abordados e a sua atitude perante um momento de resistência ao status quo presente nas determinadas épocas em que se inserem. Foi realizada uma revisão da literatura sobre o atavismo em contexto de design e estudados momentos de resistência marcantes na história, tanto em Portugal como por todo o mundo, focando-se em problemáticas distintas, que conferem elementos comuns. Após uma análise destes elementos, foi criada uma tabela comparativa sobre os movimentos estudados, com o propósito de entender os elementos partilhados entre cada um deles, explicando quais os recursos do design ativista aplicados.
