A paralisia facial periférica (PFP) é uma mononeuropatia do sétimo par craniano que resulta numa paresia ou paralesia da face ipsilateral. A PFP abrange múltiplas etiologias, sendo a forma idiopática ou paralisia de Bell responsável por aproximadamente 2/3 de todas as PFP, devendo por isso ser considerada no diagnóstico diferencial.
