Gestão de uma unidade de dor aguda baseada no Balanced Scorecard

Abstract

O Balanced Scorecard (BSC),originalmente um instrumento de medição,evoluiu para modelo de acompanhamento estratégico contínuo. Inicialmente dedicado à gestão empresarial, atualmente serve organizações de outras naturezas -como hospitalares. Apresentamos uma proposta de implementação do BSC numa Unidade de Dor Aguda (UDA), a partir do conhecimento aprofundado da sua organização e razões, quedelineia umplausível sentido estratégico.Propusemos adaptações ao modelopadrão do BSC, nomeadamente ao nível do mapa estratégico. Este estudo contribui para o desenvolvimento da investigação na área da saúde, no sentido em que investiga de que forma insuficiências e incoerências organizacionais nesta unidade poderão ser colmatadas com a implementação do BSC.
