As plataformas museológicas digitais e cultura de participação

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The cultural public sphere can be defined as the symbolic space in which organizations, politics and public articulate themselves according to modes of affective - aesthetic and emotional communication, and not only cognitive, taking into account that affective communication helps individuals to think reflexively on situations that make up their “Lifeworld” (Husserl, 1936).If, in the place of organizations, we put a digital museological platform, the urgency to organize it in a participatory manner is vital: as a promoter of relationship networks whose cooperative activity is intended to recur (concept of Art World from Becker, 1982) consolidates the break in the relationship between the organization and client of an instrumental nature and directed according to the interests of only one of the parties. This paper proposes to problematize the role of digital museological platforms since they should not limit themselves to present cultural manifestations, but to promote action and argumentative dispute, that is, to increase the public sphere in the intersubjective sense. Welcome to convergence culture, where old and new media collide, (…) where the power of the media producer and the power of the media consumer interact in unpredictable ways. (…) Consumers will be more powerful within convergence culture - but only if they recognize and use that power as both consumers and citizens, as full participants in our culture. (Jenkins, 2006, p.270). It is this immersion in convergence culture that we want to verify from the online presence of Lisbon museums.
